MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 11, 2006) - Parks Canada and the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada invite you to a plaque unveiling ceremony commemorating the national historic and architectural significance of the Montreal Masonic Memorial Temple.

More than seventy-five years after its official inauguration, the Montreal Masonic Memorial Temple remains one of Canada's most elegant buildings in the Beaux-Arts style. Honouring the memory of Canadian Freemasons who died in the Second World War, it was designed by John Smith Archibald, a Montreal architect of Scottish origin, who was a member of the Masonic Foundation of Quebec.
