Media Advisory / Photo-Op: Drop-Off Your Drugs Safely and Keep Them out of the Wrong Hands

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - May 13, 2016) - Metro Vancouver residents are encouraged to safely dispose of their medications to ensure they don't get into the wrong hands or pollute the environment.

This is especially critical given growing concern about the epidemic of opioid abuse in Vancouver.

Prescription drugs can be effective in helping people to manage pain and other conditions, but in the wrong hands they can have deadly consequences.

What: Launch of the week-long medications return campaign that encourages the public to safely dispose of their medication.

When: Monday, May 16 at 11am
