Media Advisory: Photo Opportunity - 1st Day of PIPSC National Public Service Week Activities in the National Capital Region

PIPSC President Touring Schedule for Monday June 10, 2013

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 8, 2013) - Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) President Gary Corbett will be available for media and photo opportunities as he tours key work sites across the National Capital Region to meet members and to celebrate the important contribution professional public servants make to the lives of all Canadians.

These activities are taking place during National Public Service Week, which runs from June 9 to June 15. The Professional Institute, which represents some 57,000 professionals working for the federal government, will be promoting the value that its members bring to Canadians as part of a broader initiative, "Better Together".

During National Public Service Week, PIPSC's message will also be promoted throughout the National Capital Region via print and online ads in the Ottawa Citizen and le Droit, and in street advertising. A Twitter contest will be held throughout the week to introduce the initiative and engage all PIPSC members.
