Media Advisory: PIPSC Members Rally in Toronto Today to Protest Lack of Progress at the Bargaining Table


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 9, 2016) - Led by the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) President Debi Daviau and Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) President Hassan Yussuff, some 80 PIPSC members will hold a rally in downtown Toronto this afternoon in support of their bargaining demands:

  • Fair economic increases and the protection of sick leave;
  • Enshrining scientific integrity in the collective agreements of science-based Groups;
  • Resources to go after international tax avoiders;
  • Reining in costly outsourcing.
