Media Advisory-POSTPONED: Hon. Ted McMeekin MPP visit to Community Living Hamilton for Developmental Service Appreciation Day

HAMILTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - March 13, 2014) - Due to scheduling conflicts, the Honourable Ted McMeekin, MPP and Minister of Community and Social Services is postponing his visit on Thursday, March 13 to local frontline workers in developmental services at Community Living Hamilton.

The Hon. Ted McMeekin, MPP for Ancaster-Dundas-Flamborough-Westdale will make a visit at a later date in recognition of Developmental Services Worker Appreciation Day in Hamilton.

CUPE marks Developmental Service Worker Appreciation Day each year to highlight the vital supports and services that direct support workers provide to people with developmental disabilities throughout the community.

CUPE represents 8,000 direct support workers in developmental services in Ontario.
