Media Advisory: Press Club Breakfast to Launch Report on Green Electricity

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 27, 2009) - Researchers from the Canadian Labour Congress and the Council of Canadians will launch their report Green, Decent and Public at a Press Club breakfast on Tuesday, December 1st.

Environment and energy researchers from the two organizations say that people around the world are facing the impact of climate and economic crises that demand urgent action. The authors say that expanded renewable electricity generation can be a vehicle for both economic recovery and green job creation and they argue that there are benefits in having the public sector play a prominent role.
