Media Advisory: Prince Edward Island Employers to Receive Awards for Support to the Reserve Force

CHARLOTTETOWN, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND--(Marketwire - March 4, 2009) - Three local businesses will receive awards for their support to Canada's Reserve Force, Thursday, March 5, 2009. Her Honour, the Honourable Barbara Hagerman, Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island, will preside over the ceremony. Organized by the Canadian Forces Liaison Council (CFLC), the ceremony will be attended by Commodore Viateur Tremblay, Director General Reserves and Cadets, and Mr. Robert Bateman, Provincial Chair for the CFLC.



Where: HMCS Queen Charlotte, 210 Water Street Parkway, Charlottetown, PE

When: Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 3:00 p.m.
(Media are asked to arrive between 2:30 and 2:50 p.m. and present
themselves to Lieutenant Colonel Aidan Sheridan, inside the main
entrance.)

What: Her Honour, the Honourable Barbara Hagerman, Lieutenant Governor
of Prince Edward Island, will present Canadian Forces Liaison
Council provincial awards to Prince Edward Island employers who
have been supportive of the Reserve Force.

Who: Organizations receiving awards will include:
- Federal Express Canada, Ltd.
- Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce
- Island Emergency Medical Services Inc.
