Media Advisory: Rally at MPs Deepak Obrai's Office Against Canada-Colombia Trade Talks

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 28, 2007) - Union members and community activists will rally in front of the local constituency office of Deepak Obrai, Member of Parliament for Calgary East, at noon this Friday to demand an immediate stop to trade talks with the Colombian government.

Obrai's office is located in the Radisson Centre at 525-28th Street SE, in suite 225.

Colombia is the country where more union members and leaders are killed than in the rest of the world combined. Labour activists and leaders are hunted down and murdered because unions are considered to be subversive and organized workers make demands for better working conditions. During the administration of the current President, 560 union officers and members have been brutally and systematically murdered.

Suite 225, 525-28th Street SE, Calgary, AB

WHEN: 12:00 noon on Friday, November 30
