Media Advisory: Recognizing a Century of Service for the Cadet Instructors Cadre

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 29, 2009) - General Walt Natynczyk, Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) and Major-General Dennis Tabbernor, Chief - Reserves and Cadets (C Res & Cdts) will preside over a military ceremony to mark a century of service for the Cadet Instructors Cadre (CIC).

The ceremony will include a proclamation, the unveiling of a Branch Flag and the presentation of CIC Lifetime Achievement Awards.



Where: National Defence Headquarters, Main Concourse, MGen Pearkes
Building, 101 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, ON.

When: Friday May 1, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. (Guests to be seated by 8:55 a.m.)
(Media are asked to arrive at the front entrance at 8:30 a.m. and
must show valid media accreditation. For access, please clear
through the security checkpoint. Parking will not be available on
site, however limited satellite trucks will be permitted. Please
note that due to construction that the only entrance to 101
Colonel By is via the Mackenzie King entrance.)
