Media Advisory: Red Cross Exhibit Opens at Ottawa's War Museum

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 20, 2009) - On May 22, the International Red Cross exhibit Our World at War will launch at the Canadian War Museum. The exhibit, which started its world tour in New York City on May 8, will continue on to over 40 countries over the next few months.

In recent months, the Red Cross teamed up with five of the world's top war photographers to capture what life looks like in 8 of the world's most active conflict zones.

The exhibit offers a unique and first-hand look at what war and armed violence do to people's lives - from the heartbreaking loneliness of an elderly woman made homeless by last year's war between Georgia and Russia to the unbridled joy of two brothers reunited after being separated by fighting in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The exhibit will run May 22 - June 30 at the Canadian War Museum.
