VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - July 30, 2015) - On July 31, 2015, John Butler will release his findings and recommendations in the Independent Review of the M/V Marathassa Fuel Oil Spill Environmental Response Operation, which he submitted to the Commissioner of the Canadian Coast Guard.
At 10:00 a.m. John Butler will provide an overview of the report, the response timeline and his recommendations. This will be followed by a brief Q&A session with reporters.
At 11:00 a.m. officials from the Canadian Coast Guard will outline their action plan for the implementation of the report's recommendations. They will be joined by Environment Canada, and Transport Canada representatives who will be able to provide perspectives on their roles in the response to the incident. A joint panel Q&A session will take place following.
