Media Advisory: Remembrance Day Ceremony at Heroes Park


BEACONSFIELD, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 26, 2015) - Mayor Georges Bourelle and members of Beaconsfield Council invite residents to attend the Remembrance Day ceremony commemorating and honouring Canadian veterans' contribution.

Member of Parliament for Lac-Saint-Louis, Francis Scarpaleggia, MNA for Jacques-Cartier, Geoffrey Kelley, Honorary Colonel Jim Killin and representatives of local associations will lay wreaths.

Date and Time: Sunday, November 8 at 2 p.m.
Location: Heroes Park, 288 Beaconsfield Blvd. (across from Centennial)
Event: Remembrance Day Ceremony

Beginning at 1:50 p.m., a 690 Squadron Cadets parade will precede this event.

On this occasion, Council invites residents to wear a poppy, the symbol associated with the memory of those who died at war to defend the freedom that we enjoy today.
