Media Advisory/REMINDER: 100 Quebec Citizens Learn to Camp as Part of Parks Canada's Centennial

LÉVIS, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 18, 2011) - The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs and MP for Lévis-Bellechasse, will launch "Learn to Camp" initivative, as part of Parks Canada's 100th anniversary.

This original initiative will allow about one hundred Québec area citizens to experience their first overnight camping under supervision of Parks Canada and Mountain Equipment Coop seasoned outdoor specialists as well as Lauzon Scouts.

Minister Blaney will take part in this event on behalf of the Honourable Peter Kent, Canada's Environment Minister and Minister responsible for Parks Canada.
