Ceremony Will Officially Welcome World-Leading Researcher to Canada

QUÉBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - May 17, 2010) - The Honourable Josée Verner, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada and Minister for La Francophonie, will introduce a new Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) as part of an official welcoming ceremony at Université Laval. The CERC program attracts talented and innovative researchers from around the world and helps to further Canada's growing reputation as a leader in research, science and technology development, and higher learning.
