OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 4, 2011) - Hassan Yussuff, CLC Secretary-Treasurer, will attend a Labour Day parade in Toronto on Monday, September 5th. The event is sponsored by the Toronto and York District Labour Council. Yussuff will be available for comments to the media.

Canadian workers have celebrated their achievements each year on Labour Day since it was declared a national holiday in 1894. This year the focus is on demanding the changes – in salaries, working conditions and pensions – that are needed to improve the lives of our children and grandchildren. There is a special urgency surrounding Labour Day this year in Toronto, where public services and good jobs are under attack by the new city administration.
