OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 4, 2011) - Marie Clarke Walker, CLC Executive Vice-President, will attend a Labour Day picnic in Victoria on Monday, September 5th. The event is sponsored by the Victoria Labour Council.

Clarke Walker will be available for comments to the media.

Canadian workers have celebrated their achievements each year on Labour Day since it was declared a national holiday in 1894. This year the focus is on demanding the changes – in salaries, working conditions and pensions – that are needed to improve the lives of our children and grandchildren.
