QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 15, 2008) - Linda Silas, president of the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions (CFNU) and members of the CFNU National Executive Board will be available for comments the day before the opening of the Council of the Federation.

Nursing leaders have come to Quebec to put health care back on the Premiers' agenda

In December 2003, the Premiers held the opening meeting of the Council of the Federation and identified Health Care as a priority. Four and half years later, there have been limited discussions on health care, there have been no discussions on critical issues such as the Health and Human Resource shortage, increasing privatization and wait times.
