Media Advisory/REMINDER: The Office of the Commissioner Releases Studies on the Vitality of Quebec Anglophone Communities

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 13, 2008) - The Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages is releasing the findings of the studies entitled Vitality Indicators for Official Language Minority Communities 2: Three Quebec Anglophone Communities. These studies examine the vitality of Anglophone communities in Quebec City, the Lower North Shore and the Eastern Townships.

The Commissioner of Official Languages, Graham Fraser, will present the study findings on Friday, June 13 at 1:00 p.m., in the Dorchester Room at Le Nouvel Hotel, 1740 Rene-Levesque Blvd. West, Montreal.

After the release, the Commissioner will be available for interviews starting at around 2:00 p.m.

The findings of the research conducted in three Quebec Anglophone communities will be posted on the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages' Web site at www.officiallanguages.gc.ca, under the "What's New" section, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13.

These studies will be released during the Annual General Meeting of the Quebec Community Groups Network (QCGN), which is a not-for-profit organization bringing together 29 English language community organizations across Quebec.
