Media Advisory: Robert Thirsk Speaks with CSA Colleagues and STS-127 NASA Astronauts

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 28, 2009) - Media representatives are invited to the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) for a special Space-to-Earth chat. Steve MacLean, CSA President, will greet Julie Payette and her Mission STS-127 NASA astronaut crewmates visiting Canada and stopping at the Agency for a chat with colleague Robert Thirsk from the International Space Station (ISS). Following some friendly exchange amongst astronauts, a few CSA employees will be offered the unique opportunity to ask questions to co-worker Thirsk, sending their voice 350 km into space.

Following the connection with the ISS, the STS-127 crew will share their mission highlights via a multimedia presentation to CSA employees. A special item which flew with Julie Payette last July during this 16-day mission will also be presented to Steve MacLean, accepting on behalf of all CSA employees.
