Media Advisory: RONA and YWCA Celebrate International Women's Day by Welcoming New Cohort of Women Trainees at the RONA Vancouver 2010 Fabrication Shop

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 2, 2009) - RONA is inviting media to attend a ceremony on Thursday, March 5, to welcome the new cohort of trainees - young women referred by the Vancouver YWCA - at the RONA Vancouver 2010 Fabrication Shop, in celebration of International Women's Day.

The Fabrication Shop is a woodworking facility for the 2010 Winter Games located in Vancouver's inner city. In the course of building various podiums, ski racks and other items needed for the Games, the carpentry training program provides community-based life skills and valuable job experience to individuals who have had difficulty attaching to the workforce.
