Media Advisory: Science, Technology and Innovation Council Releases State of the Nation 2014 Report

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 26, 2015) - On November 27th, the Science, Technology and Innovation Council (STIC) will release its most recent State of the Nation report. The release of the report will be announced at the Canadian Science Policy Conference in Ottawa, and the full text of the report will be available immediately following the announcement on STIC's website at www.stic-csti.ca.

State of the Nation 2014: Canada's Innovation Challenges and Opportunities - STIC's fourth public report-charts Canada's progress from a baseline set in 2008 and compares Canada's performance to global competitors across the business, knowledge and talent pillars of the science, technology and innovation (ST&I) ecosystem. The report also identifies the way forward for shaping Canada's future through ST&I.

About the Science, Technology and Innovation Council

STIC is an advisory body comprised of senior individuals from the business, research, higher education and government communities. The Council provides the Government of Canada with independent advice on ST&I policy issues and produces public State of the Nation reports that measure Canada's ST&I performance against international standards of excellence.
