Media Advisory/Senators Operation Montreal: Heritage Train Trip to Montreal Media Availability

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 12, 2012) - On Tuesday, March 13, the Ottawa Senators will take part in the Operation Montreal - Heritage Train trip to Montreal. A group of 280 people, including the entire Senators team, management, partners and fans, will board a Via Rail train and travel to Montreal in advance of Ottawa's game against the Montreal Canadiens on March 14 at the Bell Centre. In honour of the trip, the team will wear its heritage uniform during the March 14 game.

Fans on the trip will begin to arrive at the Via Rail train station at 1:30 p.m. Players are expected to arrive at approximately 2:30 p.m., when they will walk a red carpet prior to entering the Via Rail train cars. The train will depart for Montreal shortly after 3 p.m.

What: The Operation Montreal - Heritage Train trip

Who: A group of 280 people, including all Senators players and management, Senators partners, fans and contest winners.

When: Tuesday, March 13

1:30 p.m. - fans begin to arrive

2:30 p.m. - players begin to arrive (Media should go to Gate #1 (east side) and head outside for red carpet coverage.)

2:50 p.m. - final boarding for all players and fans

Where: Via Rail train station, 200 Tremblay Road, Ottawa.

Photo and interview opportunities: Players and management will be available for interviews and photos (by request) as they arrive at the train station. Hockey historian Paul Kitchen will also be available for interviews to speak about the history of train travel in hockey.

Parking: Hourly parking is available on site.
