OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 26, 2013) - Ottawa Senators (@Senators) owner Eugene Melnyk will host a season-launch rally tomorrow on Elgin St. to officially open the Sens Mile for the 2013-14 National Hockey League season. The rally is open to for fans and media to attend.
Melnyk, along with Senators alumnus Todd White, Senators president Cyril Leeder, Spartacat and members of the Ottawa Senators staff will perform a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony to open the home away from home for Senators fans, the Sens Mile.
The event will open when White and Spartacat will drive a Zamboni south on Elgin Street, with their scheduled arrival at St. Louis' Bar and Grill at Noon. Upon their arrival, Melnyk, along with White and Leeder will complete the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Elgin St, officially opening the Senators 2013-14 season.
Melnyk will then enter the restaurant to formally welcome fans to the rally and introduce the team's 2013-14 marketing campaign.
