Media Advisory: Senators Set to Host Third Annual Barbados Night at Scotiabank Place on March 11

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 11, 2008) - For the third consecutive year, team owner Eugene Melnyk and the Ottawa Senators will host Barbados Night in advance of the team's game versus the Boston Bruins on Tuesday, March 11, at Scotiabank Place.

Melnyk will be joined by His Excellency Glyne Murray, Barbados' High Commissioner to Canada, and representatives from the Barbados Tourism Authority when they host a VIP reception, featuring traditional Bajan fare and live steel-pan music.

Barbados Tourism will welcome 200 Sens fans to the island when Operation Barbados, the ultimate Sens Army hockey road trip, takes place from April 1 to April 4. All trip participants will join Melnyk for two televised Sens games at Bert's, the island's hottest sports bar and restaurant. The Senators play the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday, April 1, and the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday, April 3.
