Media Advisory/Sens Foundation to announce special lineup, Roger's Dream Team members to be unveiled

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 17, 2010) - The Sens Foundation will host a news conference on Wednesday, May 19, at 10:15 a.m. in the lobby of Roger's House to introduce members of Roger's Dream Team, a group of Roger's House patients and their families formed to spearhead fundraising efforts.

With 10 veteran Roger's House patients leading the charge, the Roger's House Dream team brings a wealth of experience to the table, aware that they'll face special challenges on the fundraising front. To that end, corporate partners are being sought to sponsor each dream team member.

Roger's Dream Team will be on the starting line when the Scotiabank Walk, Roll & Run for Roger's House kicks off at Scotiabank Place on June 20. The event represents a significant way in which to get involved and support the pediatric respite and palliative care facility located on the grounds of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

The Sens Foundation has made a long-term commitment to cover a portion of the annual operating costs for Roger's House. Already demonstrating their support for Roger's Dream Team and the fundraiser are the following corporate sponsors: Scotiabank, the Ottawa Citizen, Waste Management, Mattamy Homes, the Rideau Centre, Dollco Printing, CHUM radio, EMC Your Community Newspaper, Capital Cruises, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Enterprise Car Rentals. Opportunities to sponsor a member of the team are still available.
