Media Advisory: Sens Foundation to thank Mike Fisher for his support of Roger's House

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 12, 2011) - The Sens Foundation will host a reception on Wednesday, July 13, at 7 p.m. at Roger's House to recognize outgoing honorary chair Mike Fisher for his role in the Ottawa community and his support of Roger's House.

As honorary chair, Fisher has been a strong supporter of Roger Neilson's legacy and has long been responsive to the children and families of Roger's House. Fisher's faith, kindness and compassion have left an indelible impression on the staff and families at Roger's House.

Now in its fifth year of operation, Roger's House has had more than 1,300 admissions, and staff have provided more than 8,000 days of care. The welcoming home-away-from-home atmosphere comforts children and families who are admitted to the state-of-the-art, eight-bedroom facility, where dedicated professionals and volunteers provide the very best in paediatric palliative care and support.
