Media Advisory: Soldier to Walk 885 Kilometres for Soldier On Fund

BORDEN, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 31, 2012) - Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Didier Naulleau will walk 885 Km of the Bruce Trail to raise funds and awareness for the Canadian Forces Soldier On Fund from August 1 - 30, 2012.

To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812, MWO Naulleau will start his walk at 8:00 a.m. from the Southern Cairn of the Bruce Trail located at the edge of Portage Road, in the parking lot of Queenston Heights Park, Niagara (See Map at This is an important site of the first major battle in this War, which resulted in a British victory (13 Oct 1812).

This walk is MWO Naulleau's last march as a soldier. With 34 years of military service, MWO Naulleau leaves the Canadian Forces as the Senior Technical Instructor with the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (CFSEME).

LCol James Bower, Commandant of the CFSEME, and Chief Warrant Officer Moreau, the School's Regimental Sergeant-Major, will see him off on his 30-day hike.
