Media Advisory: Soul Drums and Art Highlight TTC Pizzazz

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 10, 2006) - Things will be hopping tomorrow, Wednesday, April 11th at Eglinton Station as the popular Soul Drums perform from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. Several Master Percussionists will not only perform, but invite TTC customers to play along on 30 large multi-cultural and multi-coloured hand drums and percussion instrument.

It will be a lot quieter at Queen's Park Station from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. as artist Philemon Campbell presents his beautiful landscapes, seascapes and images of his native Jamaica. Eight oil paintings will be on display including two currently being created.

And from the heat of Jamaica to icy cold. TTC customers will be treated to an ice sculpture being carved by an artist Gordon Matkun at St. Clair West Station from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The artist will create an ice sculpture of the side of a streetcar.

April will be an exciting and entertaining time for TTC customers with the TTC's Pizzazz campaign. For a calendar listing of all 25 April Pizzazz events and locations, visit the TTC website at, and click on the picture of TTC Chair Howard Moscoe wearing the multi-coloured Pizzazz hat.

Stay tuned for more exciting acts throughout the month.
