Media Advisory: Stuff-a-Bus for the Calgary Food Bank Tomorrow

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Nov. 1, 2013) - On Saturday, Calgary Transit buses will be parked outside Calgary Co-op stores, not for passengers but for donations to the Calgary Food Bank at the 21st annual Stuff-a-bus event, one of the city's largest one-day food drives.

4-6PM Unloading buses at the Victoria Park Bus Barn ( 1075-7 Street SE)

Food and funds received at this year's Stuff-a-Bus event will go a long way to helping Calgarians as the Calgary Food Bank is forecasting an increased need for hampers due to the strained finances rebuilding after the summer's flood.

Non-perishable food donations can be made year-round at all Calgary and area Co-op stores as well as at the Calgary Food Bank located at 5000-11 Street SE.

In 2012, Stuff-a-Bus collected 56,000 lbs in food and $73, 000 in funds
