Media Advisory: The 12th Annual Meagan's Walk Presented by Colliers International Canada in Support of Paedatric Brain Tumour Research

WHAT: The media is invited to participate in and cover Meagan's Walk: Creating a Circle of Hope which is celebrating its 12th year of raising funds for paediatric brain tumour research. This 5km fundraising walk and hug is presented by Colliers International Canada and starts from a new location this year at historic Fort York and ends at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
Meagan's Walk: Creating a Circle of Hope is also part of Healthy and Happy, a SickKids campaign in May to educate and raise awareness in the community on the issues, challenges and progress of children's health.

8:30 a.m. Registration opens at new starting location - Fort York
8:30 a.m. Children's activities and entertainment begin
8:30 a.m. Wall of Honour at starting area - participants encouraged to sign and offer dedications or wishes of support
9:00 a.m. Interview opportunity with Denise Bebenek
9:35 a.m. Opening ceremonies begin - Fort York
10:00 a.m. Walk starts at Fort York
11:30 a.m. Hospital hug and performance by Juno award-winners Dala, followed by closing ceremonies (in front of SickKids at the Elizabeth Street entrance)
11:55 a.m. Photo and interview opportunity with Bebenek family, friends and SickKids patients), street party and closing festivities
12:00 p.m. Mother's Way - inside SickKids Atrium
