Media Advisory: The Law Society of Upper Canada and the Ontario Bar Association Invite You to A Gathering Calling for the Return of the Rule of Law in Pakistan

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 28, 2007) - Media are invited to attend a gathering to call for the restoration of the rule of law in Pakistan, being held on Thursday, November 29 at 1:15 p.m. in front of Osgoode Hall, to show solidarity in support of lawyers, judges and human rights advocates in Pakistan who are courageously defending the rule of law, which has been under attack by the government there. Add your support to the many thousands of others around the world in a petition to restore justice and democracy for the people of Pakistan.

This event is one more example of the support that Canadian lawyers, judges, their colleagues and their families are providing to the people of Pakistan and their legal community in their continuing struggle to end emergency rule and restore the rule of law.
