Media Advisory: The National Library of the Netherlands Donates Unique Documents to Library and Archives Canada

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 4, 2009) - Library and Archives Canada invites the news media, on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., to view the 35 new documents generously donated to it this year by the National Library of the Netherlands.

These 35 works, produced between 1945 and 2005, include children's books, historical works, novels, personal accounts, a collection of songs and music, as well as guidebooks and commemorative publications.



What: Presentation of the 35 works donated by the Koninklijke
Bibliotheek (National Library of the Netherlands)

When: Tuesday, May 5, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Refreshments will be served.

Note: His Excellency Wilhelmus Julius Petrus Geerts, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and other guests of the Dutch Embassy will also be present.
