Media Advisory: The Sens Foundation to Make Largest One-Day Donations More than $840,000 Will Be Distributed to Local Organizations

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 18, 2007) - The Sens Foundation, along with co-event fundraisers and corporate partners, will be presenting cheques to local organizations totalling more than $840,000 raised through various events in the past year. The cheque presentations will take place Monday, Oct. 22, at 11:00 a.m. in Coliseum Room C, located at the lower level at Scotiabank Place.

Dave Ready, president of the Sens Foundation, along with foundation board member Max Keeping of CTV Ottawa will be serving as hosts for the presentations. Roy Mlakar, Ottawa Senators and Scotiabank Place president and CEO, will also speak to the foundation and club's impact in the community.

While more than 80 people representing charities will be present, 13-year-old Sam Graham of Pembroke, Ont., who receives care from the Ottawa Children's Treatment Centre, will make a few remarks.
