Media Advisory: The Transportation Safety Board of Canada will Release its Final Report Into the Fatal Plane Accident at Pelee Island in 2004

GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - April 10, 2006) - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) will release, on April 11, 2006, its final investigation report (A04H0001) into the crash of a Georgian Express Ltd. Cessna 208B aircraft off Pelee Island, Ontario, on January 17, 2004, in which 10 people perished. The report will be released at a news conference in Windsor, Ontario on Tuesday, April 11 at 2:00 p.m. (Eastern daylight time).

The TSB Chair, the Director of Investigations (Air) and the Investigator-in-Charge will present the Board's findings and provide information about the investigation. A question and answer period will follow the news conference.

Reporters will be able to review the report under embargo beginning at 1:30 p.m. (Eastern daylight time) until the beginning of the news conference. Copies of the final report A04H0001 will be available on the TSB Web site at www.tsb.gc.ca at 2:00 p.m. (Eastern daylight time).
