Media Advisory: Thousands of Torontonians from Every Walk of Life Will Gather on April 9 to Demand Respect from Toronto City Council


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 24, 2011) - Preparations are underway for a massive community rally on April 9 to call on the Toronto City Council to respect their communities, public services and good jobs.

Dozens of community organizations are busy organizing on their blocks and in their neighbourhoods throughout Toronto to send a strong message to their city councillors that everyone in Toronto needs to be respected and that service cuts, user fees and privatization will hurt every community in the city.

Saturday, April 9, 2011
1 p.m. rally at Dundas Square (Dundas and Yonge)
Followed by a march to Nathan Phillips Square (Toronto City Hall)
