Media Advisory-Toronto Transit Commission: "A Baby Grand Piano in Bloor/Yonge Subway Station!!"

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 22, 2006) - TTC customers at Bloor/Yonge Station will be in for a melodious surprise tomorrow afternoon, as pianist Gordon Murray will entertain and take requests on a baby grand piano.

Murray will be joined by popular TTC Transit Reporter Mika Midolo, who will ask customers if they have any special requests. Murray has a substantial repertoire, from Chopin, Mozart and Beethoven to popular tunes made famous by Lionel Ritchie, Diana Ross and the Bee Gees.

Murray has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toronto.

Over the summer months, the TTC has provided a series of small entertainments for customers at various locations throughout the system. This will be the final concert of the summer series.
