Media Advisory: Transit Representatives Testify in Support of Bill to Make Assaults Against Transit Operators an Aggravating Factor


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 18, 2014) - Representatives of the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) will be appearing before the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee today, June 18th, to testify in support of Bill S-221, An Act to Amend the Criminal Code (assaults against public transit operators). CUTA's representatives will be joined by members of the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU), Unifor, and Ottawa City Councillor Diane Deans.
