Media Advisory/TSB Media Update: Latest Developments in Recovery Process for Cougar Helicopters Sikorsky S-92A

ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR--(Marketwire - March 17, 2009) - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has completed the recovery of the remaining bodies on behalf of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and is now focusing on recovery of the wreckage.

The TSB's first priority today is to speak to the families and loved ones to ensure that all of their questions have been addressed.

Once the TSB has met with families, the Investigator-in-Charge, Mike Cunningham, and the Operations Team Lead, Charles Laurence, will be available for interviews.

Interviews with Mr. Cunningham will be possible between 1 and 3 p.m. local time.

Interviews in French with Mr. Laurence will be possible between 1 and 2 p.m. local time.
