Media Advisory: TTC Chair and TTC Managers Participate in Mayor's 20-Minute Makeover

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 19, 2007) - As part of Mayor David Miller's annual 20-Minute Toronto Makeover in support of Earth Week, TTC Chair Adam Giambrone, Interim Chief General Manager Gary Webster and other TTC staff will roll up their sleeves, don gloves and hard hats and armed with garbage bags help clean up TTC property.

Chair Giambrone will operate a MADVAC machine to clean up Castle Frank Station, while Interim Chief General Manager Gary Webster and other managers pick up litter inside Finch Station. Staff from various other TTC work locations will also take part, picking up trash in and around TTC bus garages and other buildings.

Spring is the season when the TTC's cleaning crews and equipment are in high gear, picking up all kinds of trash and debris that the winter thaw leaves behind at bus bays, along rights-of-way and around TTC stations and facilities.
