MEDIA ADVISORY: TwinStrata Releases Updated Cloud Storage Provider Industry Pricing

NATICK, MA--(Marketwired - Apr 1, 2014) -

Cloud-integrated storage provider TwinStrata has unveiled its updated pricing matrix of cloud storage providers with the latest information released by Google and Amazon. The matrix is now available on the TwinStrata website.

In the wake of recently announced cloud storage price drops from Google and Amazon, TwinStrata released its updated pricing matrix to reflect the latest industry shifts. Amazon's standard monthly cloud storage offerings will start as low as $0.030/GB beginning April 1, while Google dropped its cloud storage cost $0.026/GB on March 25.

This comparison includes pricing for Amazon S3 Standard, Amazon S3 Reduced Redundancy, Amazon Glacier, AT&T Synaptic Storage as a Service, EVault LTS2, Google Cloud Storage, Google Durable Reduced Availability (DRA) Storage, IBM SoftLayer, HP Cloud Services, Microsoft Azure and Rackspace.

TwinStrata CEO Nicos Vekiarides says these "price wars" between the major cloud services providers are indicative of a brand new trend in commoditizing cloud storage. According to Vekiarides, these price drops "will have ripple effects across not just cloud storage but the storage industry as a whole. Other cloud providers will follow suit, and more and more customers will look seriously at the cloud as a viable alternative to their expensive on-premises storage."

TwinStrata's cloud-integrated storage makes data storage straightforward, affordable and maintenance-free by enabling organizations to scale their storage area networks (SAN) and network-attached storage (NAS) with on-demand cloud capacity. Customers use CloudArray to support primary, secondary, backup and archive storage needs. More information is available at
