Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in Canada. However, actual incidence and prevalence are not accurately reported due to a lack of statistic-gathering resources. All proceeds from this initiative will be used to support the creation of a Skin Cancer Centre and National Tumour Registry at the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) in Montreal.

The public is encouraged to visit www.8000km.org frequently for updates on the progress of Daniel and Ryan. An online map tracks their location, as well as the amount of funds raised along the way. Updates and photos are posted regularly throughout the trip on Ryan and Daniel's blog. Supporters are invited to sponsor 1 km, 10 km, 50 km or 100 km of Daniel and Ryan's route; but every donation will gladly be accepted.

To make a donation, please go to www.8000km.org or contact the JGH Foundation at 514 340-8251.
