Maria da Luz Dai Guebuza, First Lady of Mozambique
Rosie Perez, actor/choreographer, member of the U.S. President's Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS, invited

What: This rally launches the International Paper Dolls Campaign -- a project of the Universal Access to Female Condoms Joint Programme. Hundreds of paper dolls will be displayed -- each bearing a hand-written message from an individual in the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe who wants her or his demand for female condoms to be seen -- and heard -- by members of the UN during this important meeting.

Why: The paper dolls and activists make visible the global demand and urgency for increased access to female condoms. This important HIV prevention tool is unavailable or unaffordable to the vast majority of people worldwide who need them for protection -- in addition to reducing the risk of HIV infection, female condoms can prevent herpes and unwanted pregnancies.

And importantly, female condoms can increase sexual pleasure for both partners, especially for men who have difficulty using male condoms. Join us on June 8th, get a free condom and try it for yourself!
