Media Advisory-UPDATE: Their Excellencies to Welcome Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall at Rideau Hall

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 9, 2009) - Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Michaelle Jean, Governor General of Canada, and Mr. Jean-Daniel Lafond will welcome Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall at Rideau Hall, in Ottawa, on the occasion of Their Royal Highnesses' official visit to Canada, which will take place from November 2 to 12, 2009.

During their stay in Canada's capital region, Their Royal Highnesses will reside at Rideau Hall.

Official Meeting

National Remembrance Day Ceremony
National War Memorial, Ottawa, Ontario
Their Excellencies and Their Royal Highnesses will attend the National
Remembrance Day Ceremony at the National War Memorial in Ottawa.

7 p.m.
Official Dinner
Rideau Hall, 1 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, Ontario
Their Excellencies will host a dinner in honour of Their Royal Highnesses'

Thursday, November 12

Tree Planting Ceremony
Rideau Hall, 1, Sussex Drive, Ottawa, Ontario
Their Royal Highnesses will participate in the planting of an oak tree
during a ceremony on the grounds of Rideau Hall. The tradition of planting
a tree during Royal or State visits began with Earl Grey, Governor General
of Canada (1904-1911).
