Media Advisory: Veterans of the Korean War to Be Honoured at Meadowvale Cemetery

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 26, 2012) - On behalf of the Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs, Lois Brown, Member of Parliament for Newmarket-Aurora, will join the Honourable Yonah Martin, Senator for British Columbia, and members of the Korea Veterans Association of Canada, Ontario Region, to remember the 59th anniversary of the cessation of hostilities of the Korean War. MP Brown will lay a wreath at the cenotaph and take part in a poppy-placing ceremony.

The memorial service will include the singing of the Korean and Canadian national anthems, commemorative speeches, a wreath-laying ceremony, a poppy-placing ceremony and a march past.
