Media Advisory: Veterans' Week 2006 Poster Unveiling

CHARLOTTETOWN, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 18, 2006) - The 2006 Veterans' Week poster will be officially unveiled in front of the Confederation Centre of the Arts on Friday, October 20 at 10:00 a.m. The theme of Veterans' Week 2006 is "Share the Story."

The ceremony will be led by Verna Bruce, Acting Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs, and will include Veterans, current military personnel and youth. Also in attendance will be the Honourable Elmer MacFadyen, Provincial Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs, and Mr. Wayne Hambly, Chair of the Fathers of Confederation Building Trust.

Following the event a Share the Story time will be hosted at the Confederation Centre Public Library. The children will hear stories about the war and peacekeeping missions, read by special guest speakers.
