OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 13, 2015) - Five leading researchers from Canadian universities will be awarded Impact Awards from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) on November 16 for their achievements in research, research training, knowledge mobilization and outreach activities in the social sciences and humanities.
The SSHRC Impact Awards demonstrate the Government of Canada's commitment to fostering a culture of excellence in research that has an impact on the lives of Canadians. Chosen from among the excellent nominations received from eligible postsecondary institutions across Canada, the finalists of the Impact Awards represent the very best in ideas and research about people, behaviour, human thought, and culture. These researchers help us to understand and improve the world around us, today and into the future.
