Media Alert: Covario Set to Tackle Media Attribution Modeling and Making Money From Shared Content in Two Sessions at OMMA Global

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - February 28, 2011) -

Two executives from Covario, Inc., one of the nation's largest independent search marketing software and service providers, will be speaking at OMMA Global, Feb. 28-March 1, on two critical topics for digital marketers.

  • Craig Macdonald, chief marketing officer and senior vice president for products, will lead a conference sponsor session focused on attributing the appropriate value to various channels in the media mix relative to their respective contributions in driving incremental sales and improvements in other marketing results.

  • Arnel Leyva, director of product marketing, will highlight a panel built around the challenging subject for marketers and content providers of making money from shared social media content.

Sponsor Workshop Session -- "If Attribution Modeling is the Answer, What was the Question?" This session will address how most companies and brands are dealing with the question (or answer) of attribution modeling and an alternative -- leveraging traditional media mix modeling to come up with both an online and offline analysis to guide the allocation of media investments based on the incremental sales lift each media channel provides.

Panel Session -- "Making Money Off of Shared Content"

With a world full of "like" buttons, content sharing is clearly a "word of mouse" phenomenon. For content providers, this poses the question of whether sharing and posting content has any impact on how much money they make. This panel will focus on the strategies savvy publishers are using to turn popularity into profit.

Monday, Feb. 28, 11:30 a.m. PST -- "Making Money off Shared Content" panel with Arnel Leyva.

Tuesday, March 1, 10:30 a.m. PST -- "If Attribution Modeling is the Answer, What was the Question?" sponsored workshop with Craig Macdonald.

Where: Moscone Conference Center, San Francisco
