MEDIA ALERT: Mark Logic to Host Federal Webinar on Putting Data Into Context

SAN CARLOS, CA--(Marketwire - February 21, 2008) -

What: Mark Logic® Corporation, provider of the industry's leading XML
content platform, will hold a webinar on February 26, 2008,
dedicated to helping federal agencies better leverage critical
content through categorization, entity extraction, geospatial
        enhancement, and collaboration.

The webinar, titled "Tag, You're It: Putting Data Into Context
Quickly," will review three techniques for enhancing and extracting
meaning from content, the importance of locating and preserving the
context of the content, and how to produce agile systems that
enable users to find, visualize, display and interact with content
        at all levels of granularity.

The Department of Defense, the intelligence community, and other
federal agencies are awash in documents. Often times, these
documents contain a plethora of data that loses value without
proper context. The result: important information is not readily
available because of technical obstacles that agencies can -- and
        should -- quickly remedy.

Who: Chris Biow is Chief Technologist, Government at Mark Logic
Corporation and has worked across many facets of the Intelligence
Community, including in the US Navy with the Naval Research
Laboratory. He served for eight years on active duty as a Radar
Intercept Officer, flying the aircraft-carrier-based F-14 Tomcat
and completed a career in the Reserves with the Naval Research
Laboratory, working with Space Systems and Sensors. His civilian
work has spanned the breadth of DoDIIS, Open Source Intelligence,
        Counter-Terrorism, Signals, National Reconnaissance, and
        counter-proliferation intelligence applications.

When: "Tag, You're It: Putting Data Into Context Quickly," will be held
on Tuesday, February 26 at 2:00PM Eastern/11:00AM Pacific. It is
sponsored by Mark Logic Corporation and co-sponsored by Federal
Computer Week and Government Computer News.
