Media Alert: New York City Department of Education and IBM to Develop Achievement Reporting System for Educators and Parents

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 5, 2007 -- New York City Schools Chancellor Joel I. Klein will today announce the selection of IBM to develop the Achievement Reporting and Innovation System (ARIS), a first-of-its-kind system that will provide information about student performance and progress to educators and parents. ARIS will help teachers identify effective practices citywide and improve and individualize instruction for students.
