Paving the path to the next generation data center with technology led solutions, SANpulse Technologies, Inc. has teamed with Virtual Instruments to offer some practical advice on how to reduce storage migration risks by automating migration to the private cloud. In this 45 minute discussion, the two companies will describe specific ways to measure infrastructure readiness before, during, and after the migration process. The event features Virtual Instruments' director of product marketing, Jim Bahn and SANpulse Technologies' vice president of product management, and Marie-Pierre Belanger whose combined technology experience totals more than 40 years.

Belanger and Bahn will identify key metrics to ensure performance, availability and SLAs required by business units are met while efficiently managing investments and resources. This will provide all parties with confidence to stand behind the SLAs created.

"It's not only important to proficiently perform migrations when moving to a more efficient infrastructure, but once a company is there it also makes sense to optimize the environment so it can function at full capacity when needed," noted Belanger.

The webinar will detail what metrics to measure and analyze in order to optimize SAN infrastructure and reduce risk as companies migrate to the private cloud. It will also tell how to fix and prepare infrastructures so problems do not materialize unexpectedly when in the cloud.
